Substitute Employment
Smith Valley School District is accepting applications for substitute employment.
Please fill out a District Application.
A federal criminal background check is required. Please call the County Superintendent's Office at 406-758-5720 and schedule an appointment for your fingerprint/background check. (The background check fee will be reimbursed by the District once you have subbed for the District 10 times and can provide a receipt of your payment.)
After your background check is complete you will need to fill out an employment packet. You can pick this up at the office.
Substitutes for teaching positions:
With/Without Montana Educator's License or a certificate of proof for substitute training receive $100.00 per day or $50.00 for a half day.
Substitutes for paraprofessional positions:
With/Without a Montana Educator's License or certificate of proof for substitute training receive $14.29 per hour.
